Crime Stoppers needs your help to capture a thief. Sometime during the daylight hours of Monday, June 25th a suspect forcibly entered two homes in the Hodges Road area of Chocowinity. The suspect took several rifles and shotguns along with a wooden ammo box, 2 CB Radios and a Kodak digital camera. The thief also stole small amounts of change from both homes. Crime Stoppers and the Washington Police Department need your help to capture a con-artist. On Wednesday June 6th an elderly female was approached by this suspect and an unidentified black male in the parking lot of Piggy Wiggly in Washington. The suspects tricked the victim into going to her bank and withdrawing $5,000.00 in cash. The female suspect then took the cash and left the bank. Sometime during the evening hours of Monday July 23rd an unknown person kicked in the side door of the Midway Grocery at the intersection of Hwy 92 & 264 in Washington. Once inside the suspect took several packs of cigars and cigarettes. The thief also stole some beer and several snack foods.
